Cornbread

manzocri

3 dl corn flour

2 dl wheat flour

2.5 teaspoons of baking powder

2/4 dl sugar

1 tsp salt

100 g melted butter

2.5 dl milk

2 eggs






  • Grease a 24 cm round cake pan or cast iron well and set aside. Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F.

  • In a bowl, add the flour, cornmeal, sugar, salt, and baking powder. Whisk to combine well.

  • Add your oil or butter, milk, and eggs. Stir just until the mixture comes together and there are only a few lumps remaining.

  • Pour the batter into the prepared pan and bake for 20-25 minutes until the top is a deep golden brown.
